I have owned these sandals for 4 years and wear them more frequently than any other shoes I own, including lots of others by Birkenstock. They are literally more comfortable than just walking barefoot. They do run a little larger than many others. Most of my Birkenstocks are 38's and I have wide feet but these are size 37 narrow and couldn't fit any better. The design on mine is a combination of blue and black and even after many, many miles of wear, they still look like new and I get compliments on them nearly every time I wear them. I am on Amazon today hoping to buy another pair because I will be devastated if I ever have to give these up. Incidentally, I have some arthritis in my feet and ankles and have broken several bones in my feet so it is not easy to find comfortable shoes that are so cute!

I don't know how long that I have been wearing Papillio sandals from Birkenstock but they are the only ones that I will wear during the spring and summer months. They are so comfortable and fit your foot like a slipper. I am only very happy to let your customers know about this particular product and only hope that if they are looking to purchase a sandal for summer that they look at the Birkenstock line as they are not only comfortable but very affordable.

Sizing is Tricky - Emily Writer -
I own a size 40 that I recently bought and love except for the fact that they are a little big. The Amazon sizing chart and the manufacturer's chart are a little bit different which makes confusing. Anyway, so I got another pair, one size smaller, 39, which should have probably still fit, but unfortunately my foot is too wide for it, which makes it tight and uncomfortable. It's not like I have a wide foot though, so I find this a little bit puzzling. Perhaps if I decide to keep my second pair, and if I wear them around a bit more, they will stretch to accommodate my foot. I'm not sure.
